To make this mask, you’ll need:

  • 4 tablespoons of buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons of wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons of tomato paste

Properties:

Buttermilk and tomato are both known for their bleaching properties which are why they are added in this recipe. These lighten those pesky dark spots, that too without any burning sensations. The lactic acid in the milk, helps reduce the pigmentation of the skin, and also helps in lightening the dark spots. It also, contains moisturizing properties, which will leave your skin hydrated, soft and supple.

Making the mask:

To make the mask, add the buttermilk into a mixing bowl. Add the wheat flour and tomato paste. Mix these three ingredients together to make a paste like consistency.  You face mask is now ready.

Applying the Mask:

To apply the mask make sure you have a cleaned face. Otherwise, the dirt can hinder in the effectiveness of the mask. Apply the mask all over your face an make sure to cover the hyperpigmentation entirely. Next, massage it into your skin for effective results. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, for 5 minutes keep rubbing the mask into your skin. This will help in the absorption of the ingredients within your skin. Wash your face with lukewarm water afterward.
